Obtain proof that you have killed the elder of Tarnost.
The dagger will improve your Aim and Attack by 5, but will reduce your Dodge and Defense by 5 at the same time
There are two ways to obtain the proof you require. You can actually kill Atarinya, the village elder and take the shield from his corpse, or you can complete quest Tarnost: Elder's Shield. Once you have the shield, make sure you have plenty of health for the next part, as you will have to kill A dark hooded figure lurks in the shadows..
give shield to assassin
He will backstab you, there appears to be no way to prevent this by attacking him previously. Once he is dead take the reward from his corpse.
