  • Description

    Track down a Corsair sneaking around Pelargir.

  • A dark runed longsword.

  • From Pelargir signpost.

  • Explore Pelargir and track down a suspicious man moving around the streets. Either kill him or convince him to let you help him to get into the basement where he has hidden his weapon.

  • A dark runed longsword is an extremely powerful one handed weapon for evil characters and when wielded by one will become A blazing runed longsword (glowing), dealing extra damage to your enemies. However when it is in this state if you try to kill anything evil you will have a chance of damaging yourself and even dropping the sword.

  • This quest has two very different methods of completing it, but is MUCH harder for an evil character to complete as you have to explore Pelargir.

    Both methods start the same,shortly after the night begins a figure will start roaming the streets of Pelargir, he can take one of three different routes. If you are the place where this quest starts early enough you can simply wait until you see one of the following messages.

    A strange movement in the shadows catches your attention.

    You catch a glimpse of a strange shape in the shadows.

    You feel more than see someone moving around here.

    A disturbing shadow creeps along in front of you.

    As you walk along, you hear some stealthy footsteps in the shadows.

    The air around you is heavy and a sense of being watched washes over you.

    A creeping sensation washes over you as the shadows seem to be growing.

    If you are not in place early enough you will have to track his route to see if he is in.

    The following three commands will take you along his routes checking to see if he is in the room (or you can simply wait in this room until he returns and you see one of the messages above).

    Once you have found the room the shadow is in the quest splits into two different methods until you have obtained the key.

    The moral way.

    Now you will need to wait whilst you follow the man until he reaches An abandoned kitchen.

    If you end up in combat via one of the Pelargir bullies, thugs or animals it stop you following so you should wait until you see You notice one of the street shadows move... However, when you look at it more carefully all seems to be quiet. Whatever or whoever was there is gone now. then continue along the route you were following to catch the figure again (you may have to lose any aggressive monsters who follow you).

    Once you both get to An abandoned kitchen he will become visible as A skinny figure. A short scene will play out. You need to wait until you see Skinny figure pulls a key from under his sleeve. and then attack him.

    kill figure

    If you do need to heal during this fight you can leave to heal, but you should make sure you come back quickly as you have a limited timeframe before the figure will run away and you will lose your chance. Once the figure is dead.

    get key from corpse

    The evil way.

    Once you have found the figure.

    do examine figure,approach figure

    If you are truly evil then ask you to procure a boat for him. He will give you A handwritten note and tell you the address of the house he will be in.

    Now you need to obtain the boat for him. From the Pelargir signpost.

    The figure will come out and meet you Now that you are looking backwards, you hear some quick clicking noises nearby and when you turn your sight back to the hatch, you notice that a skinny man appeared almost like from nowhere!.

    The corsair will now thank you and give you the key.

    Now both the moral and evil versions of this quest are both the same again.

    You may need a light source here. You may also need a crowbar or a shovel (there are nine possibilities where the sword is, three of them require a shovel, three of them require a crowbar.

    If you did not find anything then.

    Then repeat the same command.

    If you still did not find anything.

    Once again repeat the same command.

    If you did not find anything the third time you will need to have a crowbar or a shovel.

    Then repeat the same command again.

    If you still to not find anything.

    Then repeat the same again.

    If you have still not found anything you are going to need a shovel.

    If you do not find anything.

    Then repeat the same command.

    If you still to not find anything.

    Then repeat the same command one last time. By now you should have your reward.
