Loot the Minas Tirith Vault.
400-3000 gold.
Find a way to get inside the Minas Tirith Vault, this may be easier at night time. Once you are inside, loot the chest there then escape with your life.
Whilst you are in Vault you will have arrows fired at you periodically which will cause up to 15 damage, this means you should vacate the room as soon as you can.
Opening the chest in the vault will also cause up to 30 damage.
Whenever you leave the vault (regardless of whether it was open before you went in) it will close and lock behind you. Whichever method you used to get into the vault you should have access to a key to unlock it should you see the need to get back in.
First off this quest can only be started during the daytime, when the tax office and the bank are open.
If you are a thief you can do this quest without any combat at all.
First off it would be worth checking how much gold is in the vault.

This will give you A note. The note will say something like The year is becoming a disaster with gates blocked and trade cut off! Our current revenues are an embarrassment and we are only able to collect about 2000 a day, barely enough for expenses. At last check, the balance of the vault was only 1880 gold.. This tells you how much gold will be in the vault that night. Every reset that the vault is not stolen the amount of gold will increase slightly.
Now you will need to get the key to the vault (An ornate key).
If you are a thief.
do s,e,steal key from banker
This should allow you to steal the key from A short and stubby banker (Fiddletree).
As a thief you will now have to wait until the night when the bank is closed. Once it is nighttime return to the quest start and you should find A Tower Guard in Reception room.
do sneak n,e,unlock south door with ornate key,drop key,s,unbuckle chest,open chest,get gold from chest
You will now have your reward and quest point. In order to get back out.

If you are not a thief then you will have to do some fighting.

When A short, thin woman sitting quietly is dead.
kill tax collector
The tax collector is a relatively easy fight (so long as he is not protected), however he will call for help when he gets low on health (The tax collector is bleeding badly but the noise of battle has been heard. You can hear a bell ringing somewhere and the sounds of running feet. shortly after that A Tower Guard will run in and attack you. He does not protect the tax collector but will prevent you from going into the vault. If you manage to kill the tax collector before he comes you can simply walk straight into the vault, if not you will have to kill him as well.
The vault should be open during the daytime, but if for some reason you need the key.

When you are ready to head into the vault you will need both hands free.
